Gun Cabinets - Small Cabinets - Exhibit Tables
 
Over the years FORT SANDFLAT PRODUCTS has designed and built numerous traditional GUN CABINETS as well as smaller wall hanging and free standing display cabinets and exhibit tables for local customers.  We have now designed all these items so they may be partly disassembled and safely shipped anywhere in the United States and be easily re-assembled by the our customers.  We have done this with our other products for many years, so we have from actual experience learned specific construction techniques to make this possible.  Of course, customers within a reasonable driving distance will continue to be welcome to pick up these items fully assembled plus save on shipping and freight expenses.
Shown below are samples of recent GUN CABINETS, SMALL CABINETS, SPECIAL PURPOSE CABINETS AND EXHIBIT TABLES we have built for local gun owners and collectors.  We are always available to help custom design these items to suit individual requirements.  Keep in mind, we can built any item from some 28 different wood species that we routinely use.

Gun Cabinets
Demand for traditional GUN CABINETS has declined in recent years,  mostly because of home theft and home safety.  But because increasing numbers of people now live in well protected neighborhoods or areas and / or  in homes with greatly increased security - that demand is returning.  But now those wanting a traditional or custom GUN CABINET are having difficulty finding them.  FORT SANDFLAT PRODUCTS hopes to help fill that void.  All of the GUN CABINETS you will see below have been designed to be completely constructed from  over 20 different top quality wood species and then partly disassembled and shipped anywhere within the lower 48 states. Security cables and keyed locks are available with each cabinet, but we all know they are basically designed to keep our close friends and children from handling our guns.  At most, these devises will only slow down the serious thief, but slowing the thief is a very good thing.

Custom GUN CABINET shown above was made from solid Cherry and finished with Cherry stain plus two coats of hand-rubbed tung oil and  holds 10 scoped or non-scoped weapons up to 50-1/4" in total length. Cabinet  composed of two units, the actual GUN CABINET and a smaller STORAGE CABINET. Total outside measurements of combined units are 82-5/8" tall X 35" wide X 20" deep. GUN CABINET is equipped with 300 lumens LED lights with cord and transformer. Transformer is mounted on top behind crown molding.

Please note all GUN CABINETS can be built from some 20 different wood species, different heights, widths and depths and with different finishes and hardware.

Each 51-1/4" X 15-3/8" glass door is hinged with 4 self closing silver hinges and are kept closed with friction catches plus a barrel lock on inside of top left door  Additionally, a keyed tumble lock is located just above the right door pull. The two solid Cherry doors are each hinged with matching self closing hinges and are kept closed with friction catches plus a barrel lock on inside of top left door and a keyed alike tumble lock is located just above the right door pull. The  Storage Cabinet doors are 3/4" thick X 16-1/8" wide X 23-5/8" tall.



With doors open you can see the barrel recess pieces with 10 - 2" wide felt lined recesses.  Double barreled side x side shotguns will fit the recesses.  Base of cabinet is lined with the very best indoor/outdoor carpet we can buy. A 10 space stock recess piece is then installed over the carpet. Carpet and felt liners are available in maroon, green, brown, black and gray.  The backs of gun cabinet and storage cabinet are made from 3/4" thick solid tongue -n-grooved boards. The bottom of the storage cabinet shows the Southwestern  designed base.  Both cabinets sides have this same design.

Pictured above is a Combination Gun Cabinet and Storage Cabinet.  It is made from solid Knotty Alder, an attractive and economical hardwood.  The finish is Dark Mahogany plus two coats of hand-rubbed tung oil.  Total unit exterior measurements are 52" tall X 24" wide X 14-7/8" deep plus door pulls.  The gun cabinet door glass is 1/4" thick tempered glass providing a clear view of all seven displayed guns.



This photo shows the unit is composed of two pieces, the upper gun cabinet and the lower storage cabinet. The storage cabinet is made 3/4" wider and deeper than the gun cabinet.  The two units are attached internally with 4 connector bolts which are hidden with the carpet covering gun stand base.  Notice also that the storage cabinet bottom is raised 4" above floor with a Southwestern designed base on front and both sides.  Outside Gun Cabinet measurements are 52" tall X 24" wide X 14-7/8" deep (not including door pulls).



The bottom storage cabinet doors are solid wood and each is attached with 2 silver self closing hinges, locked with a silver keyed tumbler lock & have 2 silver Texas Seal door pulls.  Doors are kept closed with two interior friction catches on right and one barrel lock on left.  Doors show a routered design making doors appear to be made from six different pieces. Storage Cabinet outside measurements are 24" wide X 28 " tall (including the 4" Southwestern base) X 15-7/8" deep (not including door pulls). Storage Cabinet has one shelf yielding two 10-1/2" tall X 12-5/8" deep X 22-1/2" wide storage spaces.



The 7 displayed guns rest in  2" wide felt lined barrel recesses spaced 3" from center to center.  Cabinet is made for both scoped and non-scoped weapons. Gun Cabinet base is lined with the highest quality indoor / outdoor carpet we can buy. Gun Cabinet door is attached with 4 silver self closing hinges and is kept closed by two interior friction catches and a keyed alike silver tumbler lock.  The door pulls are silver Texas Seal pulls.  Other door pulls are available including custom made Deer Antler Pulls. The backs of gun and storage cabinets are 3/4" thick solid tongue - n- grooved boards.
